HEY you should check out be kind my neighbor by @yugsly it’s a really great comic if you like puppets and freaky stuff. which i evidently do. i modeled mr. neighbor a few days ago just for the hell of it, then decided why not actually do something with him? so i made one of my favorite scenes ^u^
making all the materials and trying to capture the sort of tactility of the comic itself was an absolute delight, as was animating all of lady trudy’s wacky limbs. this is my first real attempt to animate a complex scene like this with multiple characters (and an abundance of arms)—it was definitely tricky, but i think it turned out pretty okay in the end! =D
For an Angel to manifest into a material level, it is tasked with forcing the divine unknowability of Gods light into a body of flesh and bone. The twisted body it crafts is the result of the mortal mind it appears to, grasping desperately to try to rationalize the power of God
